Player Rep: Chase Utley

Chase Utley was a three time All-Star selection (2006, 2007, and 2008), a three time Silver Slugger Award winner (2006, 2007, and 2008), and helped the Phillies to win their first National League pennant since 1993, and the 2008 World Series Championship.

In April 2008 alone, Utley began the season as an offensive catalyst for the Philadelphia Phillies and lead the league in home runs with a total of eleven, and became the National League Player of the Month. Utley ended the 2008 season with 33 home runs, 104 RBI, and a team high 177 hits.

 

PCF Team Manager: Charlie Manuel

Charlie ManuelCharlie Manuel was named manger of the Phillies on November 4, 2004, and won 173 games in his first 2 years as manager. The Phillies won the 2007 National League Eastern Division, but fell short to the Colorado Rockies in the first round of playoffs. In 2008, Manuel came back and led the Philadelphia Phillies to their second World Series Championship. Manuel signed a contract agreement in 2008 to manage the team through the 2011 season.

Besides managing the Phillies, Manuel’s hobbies include playing golf and talking about baseball.
