Los Angeles - November 11, 2004 - The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) today announced the appointment of Craig A. Dionne, Ph.D. as executive vice president of research and therapeutics. Dr. Dionne recently served as vice president, biological research at Cephalon, Inc., where he directed drug discovery programs in both oncology and neurobiology. During his tenure at Cephalon, Dr. Dionne led many collaborative initiatives with academic research scientists and biopharmaceutical companies, and brought four novel drugs into clinical development.

Dollars Raised Through Voluntary Check-Off Will Be Matched by The Prostate Cancer Foundation

New Prostate Cancer Treatments in Development Top 200, Many Supported by the Prostate Cancer Foundation
LOS ANGELES, June 4, 2004 -- The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) today announced that more than 200 new therapies are being developed for prostate cancer, many by researchers supported by the PCF. Substantially more prostate cancer therapies are in later stages of clinical development (Phases II and III) than ever before. There are now 10 new prostate cancer therapies in Phase III clinical trials compared to only four in 1997. (Phase III clinical trials are large studies that are typically required prior to a drug receiving FDA approval.) Even more dramatically, 90 new therapies are currently in Phase II clinical trials, compared with only 31 in 1997.

Prostate Cancer Foundation Teams Up with Arnold Palmer, AriZona Beverage and Lamkin to Fight Prostate Cancer
LOS ANGELES, March 9, 2004 -- The Prostate Cancer Foundation today announced major corporate alliances with Lamkin Corporation and AriZona Beverage Company to support crucial research to find new treatments and cures for prostate cancer. Lamkin has made a five-year pledge to raise at least one million dollars for the Prostate Cancer Foundation's research initiatives, agreeing to donate a percentage of sales of its regrip products. AriZona Beverage Company, in association with participating Safeway and Vons stores, will also donate to the Prostate Cancer Foundation a portion of the proceeds from the sale of cans of Lemon, Raspberry, Green Tea and Arnold Palmer's Half'n Half Lite.
