Miguel Tejada
Current Houston Astros shortstop, Miguel Tejada began the first six seasons of his career with the Oakland Athletics. In that time it can be said he was one of the game’s most feared hitters. In 2002, he was awarded the American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. During that season Tejada would hit 34 home runs while knocking in 131 RBIs. Three years later he would become the MVP of the 2005 All-Star Game.
Tejada is among the league leaders thus far in the 2008 season. He is currently batting for an average of .340, while also hitting five home runs along with 35 RBIs for the season.
Miguel Tejada is the Houston Astros' representative for the PCF Home Run Challenge.
